We are excited to announce that we will have an open discussion and expert panel of Assisted Living Community Leaders addressing expectations of placement agents with regards to questions such as the following:

  • “What criteria should be used in evaluating a community for a client?”
  • “What type of background information would you like to see regarding a client?”
  • “What do you see as an agent’s role during a tour?”
  • “What do you see as an agent’s role with a family regarding communication?”

We look forward to having a meaningful interactive discussion with our panel, members and guests. One of the major goals of the GDPRA is to bring Best Practices to the Placement/Referral Agent industry in the Greater Denver Area. In the end, if Placements/Referral agents adhere to Best Practices, it creates a better partnership with the families and communities we serve.

Carol Eiber, Owner

Abundant Blessings and Care Assisted Living

Carol has worked in the field of service for the elderly since 2009.  Her interest in this field began as a result of her personal experience caring for her father who had Parkinson’s Disease.  She began this part of her career as a Placement Specialist with Stacy’s Helping Hand.  After two years of placement work, she and her husband decided to open their own homes. They currently own 5 small group homes, located in Denver and Centennial.

Jeremy Klassen, Executive Director

Jeremy has developed his career serving seniors in a variety of ways. As a strategic leader, he brings a balance of first-hand knowledge of the industry and comprehensive problem solving to the role. From 2001 to 2010, he held several positions within the Meridian Retirement Communities group, now managed by Brookdale Senior Living. Since 2010, he has been the Executive Director of The Gardens at Columbine, a locally owned small business with 100 Assisted Living and 26 Memory Care residents.

David Lewis, Owner

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living

David has spent the last 15 years in health care specifically focused on older adults.  He started his career owning and operating an in home care company, Select Home Care.  In 2010 he started Rocky Mountain Assisted Living which currently oversees 120 assisted living and 56 memory care residents over 10 locations in the Denver Metro Area.   As the developer and operator David is always looking for more opportunities to expand services for older adults and their families.

 

Patrick Raab, Executive Director

St Andrew’s Village

Patrick has a BA in Health Care Management with a minor in Gerontology.  He has been a licensed NHA in Colorado since 1992 and has worked in the Senior Living industry his entire career, starting as a dishwasher at the young age of 15, at Allison Care Center in Lakewood.  Patrick has worked in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Independent Living, as an ED and with multi-site responsibilities.

Joe Bradshaw, RN/Owner

TenderCare Assisted Living

Joe grew up in Denver and has been a Nurse for 20+ years. Most of his experience was at Denver Health Emergency Department along with working on the Critical Care transport for almost 14 years. Joe worked his way up from a orderly (CNA) to the Assisted Nurse Program Manager which he helped supervised over 300 nurses, techs and collaborating with doctors and ancillary staff. Joe now owns and operates 3 homes which in total are licensed for 29 residents. He has also been a consultant with the state, helped owners open new facilities, and worked as placement person for 5 years.
