When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I had a daughter in preschool. The diagnosis threw my family into chaos, and I felt very alone in my situation. As I began researching communities for my mother, I realized what a challenge it was. There are so many moving parts to consider when placing your loved one under the care of someone else.
The entire process felt like it should be a full-time job, so I made it one.
I created Next Steps Senior Placement to walk beside people on this journey. I realized that I could be that friend they needed to lean on in this emotional and incomprehensible time. I love assisting families, hearing their stories, and helping relieve some of the stress they are experiencing during this time.
As a founding member of CoPRA, the Colorado Placement and Referral Alliance - (formerly the GDPRA), Cameron has served as their President since 2022.
She actively participated in writing Best Practices for Colorado Placement Agents.
Outside of Cameron's work with families and seniors, you will find her enjoying all that Colorado outdoors offers! She loves to paddleboard, ski, travel, and spend quality time with her family.
